    The Singer’s Toolbox: Vocal Technique and Theory
    Vocal Technique, Vocal Styling, Singers Music Theory - all the tools of the trade for a beginner to advanced singer. Learn proper singing technique while discovering different singing styles from Broadway to jazz. Learn basic music theory and how to modify vowels to help the singer sing smoothly through a song. Gain a better understanding of what a key is and why singing in the correct key for your voice is so important. Learn and gain experience reading and notating music so that you understand how to talk with your pianists. We will cover terminology that will help you progress as a singer and most important, you will have fun with music! Ages 16 and up.

    Elegant Holiday Cabaret at The Clark Center
    Elegant Holiday Cabaret Hosted by the Clark Center, Featuring Cabaret 805 Imagine you, your special someone, and friends, starting your evening in the lobby of the Clark Center, decked out with wonderful Christmas trees. Then stroll to a winter wonderland on the main stage for delicious tapas, decadent desserts, champagne, wine and beer while enjoying the holiday sounds of Cabaret 805’s professionals singers and musicians. Expect to hear classic songs of the holiday season – e.g. Eartha Kitt’s “Santa Baby”, Nat King Cole’s “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire”, “All I Want For Christmas is You”. Silent Auction Prizes: There will be several delightful silent auction prizes, including special additional elegant desserts, a cameo appearance in the show or the chance to have someone special serenaded. Performers: Will include Brett Mitchell (vocals and pianist), and Grant Everett, vocalist and artistic director of Cabaret 805. Complete list of performers will be announced closer to the date of the Cabaret. There will be an opportunity to meet and chat with the performers after the Cabaret ends. Attire: Black Tie (optional) Time: Doors open at 4pm. Cost: $100 / person. General seating at bistro tables on stage. Limited to 80 attendees. Ticket includes tapas, desserts, champagne, wine and beer as well as coffee and soft drinks. (Approximately $75 may be considered a charitable contribution to the Clark Center, a registered 501c(3) organization)
